Since I've been following the show Ink Master for the last couple years and I find the tattoo sub-culture super interesting, I decided to illustrate a tattoo artist.
I decided to change things up a little bit on the technical end of this one. Instead of using the adobe iPad apps I stuck with Illustrator and Photoshop. I created the initial drawing in Photoshop and brought that into Illustrator to "ink" it up and get it vectorized.
I've haven't had a lot of experience using the brush tool in illustrator so I used this illustration as an opportunity to get a better feel for it.
